  Ì have enjoyed drinks and food at the Victoria several times over the years. When I first went there it was a pub that served a few snacks. Now it is more like a restaurant but there is still a good bar and there is no problem if you simply want a drink. In fact, when I last called in Ì just had a coffee. A pleasant, quiet place.

  Can't say I was impressed from the off, as soon as we got in the door the greeter pounced on each member of our party individually, to tell us we had to go within two hours, even though we were waiting such a long time for our main courses... so much so that the waiting staff tried to remove our cutlery even though we hadn't yet eaten. Food was alright but the portions were rather small considering the price. Went as a party of eight but was given a table right next to the kitchen, so wasn't very comfortable due the kitchen noise and heat. The men's bathroom was out of order so there was a queue for the disabled one, so all in all a big disappointment. This was a special occasion, my Mother and Father's Ruby Wedding Anniversary, so thanks for that.
